Workshop Description:
For beginners to intermediate. Drop in Open Studio dedicated to learning silkscreen. Ideal for those who are curious about the process or want to learn more about the process.

Limited to 10 participants, first come, first serve, no registration required. Must arrive by 6:00pm. After 6:30pm, participants won’t be able to complete the workshop.

Fee: $50
Includes private instruction, materials: a ready screen, ink, and paper. Everything to learn the process in 3 hours and walk out with your image printed.

Workshop Description:
SOS ART - in partnership with Fuse Press - hosts a FREE printmaking workshop for artists aged 16+

The workshop will start by a short tour (30min) of an international print exhibit on the theme of “Imprinting Justice” that curator Saad Ghosn, from SOS ART, will lead and accompany by a group discussion. It will be followed by a hands on workshop led by artist and art educator Jamie Schorsch who will give a presentation on relief printmaking, instruct on how to prepare and carve a linoleum plate, then walk participant artists into creating their own image pertaining to the theme of “Imprinting Justice”, carve their own plate, ink it and print it.

After completion participant artists will share their prints as a group and discuss their content.
